Successful Installation of 350 KLD STP at Prayagraj Airport, Uttar Pradesh
We are proud to announce the near completion of one of our most significant projects to date – the design, supply, and installation of a 350 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for Prayagraj Airport, Uttar Pradesh. This marks a major milestone for VEPL both in terms of project value and treated water capacity.
Project Overview
From receiving the purchase order to completing installation, the journey of this STP has been both challenging and rewarding. The scope of work included:
In-house manufacturing of key treatment components
Loading and dispatch logistics
On-site civil interfacing
Installation of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
Final step: Commissioning (ongoing)
In-House Strength, Outsourcing Challenges
The majority of the plant was manufactured at our facility, ensuring complete quality control and timely production. However, certain critical items such as the HPN system pumps and specific ultrafiltration components required special sourcing due to their technical complexity and limited availability.
Despite these hurdles, our team ensured that procurement delays were minimized and integrated these items seamlessly into the system design and installation process.
Site Execution
Our experienced team executed the plant installation with precision and adherence to airport authority standards. From equipment foundation to piping, cabling, panel setup, and instrumentation, every aspect was closely monitored for safety, performance, and durability.
The Final Phase: Commissioning
The plant is now fully installed and ready for commissioning. Once completed, the 350 KLD STP will cater to the wastewater treatment needs of Prayagraj Airport, playing a crucial role in maintaining environmental sustainability at the site.
Why This Project Matters
This is one of VEPL's largest orders to date — both in financial terms and treatment capacity. It reinforces our capability to deliver high-value, technically advanced wastewater treatment solutions, even under challenging circumstances.
We thank our team, partners, and the client for their support in making this project a success.
